Uptown Girl Headwear, Snoods, pre-tied bandanas, tichels, hijabs, berrets, ladies and girls hair accessories, and all kinds of head coverings for chemotherapy, hairloss, modesty and high end fashion have been my passion for more than twenty years. Born and educated in London England, I,Michelle Aaron, the founder and CEO of Uptown Girl Headwear, found myself two decades later, living in New York City with my husband and 2 children. I combined my artistic streak, love for fashion and  business head to open a ladies, headwear company, selling all types of ladies hair accessories in New York. My grand parents, both maternal and paternal, lead the way, having thriving businesses  themselves in Ireland and India. I always used my father's  honest example and admiral disposition, as a measuring stick of how to conduct myself in business.

What drove me to choose a life in fashion ?

At the age of 11, during a family summer vacation in Zurich, Switzerland with my parents and siblings, I decided to walk off, and window shop alone. As my wonderful parents, followed by an entourage of my tubby little sister and my baby brother, assisted by the Zurich police, searched for me, I was totally emerced into the local, European fashion. I had a hunger for fashion and design, and I wanted to be part of it.

Today Uptown Girl Snoods, and Uptown Girl Headwear is in it's second decade. Many of our wholesale customers and retail customers have been with us for most of that journey.  Uptown Girl Headwear is worn as  fashion accessories worldwide by women of many cultures and religions, as well as women experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy or alopecia.
